Solution

Talk about a saturated market. In those states where cannabis is legal, the landscape is frantic with brands competing for new territory, with goals of establishing themselves as industry leaders. Seemingly every brand has their identity dominated by shades of green and a cannabis leaf; many of which are unfortunately not professionally designed. My approach was to break the pattern and stand out. By using a wider color palette, a custom built ultra-modern typeface, and geometric elements, this brand stood head and shoulders above the competitors. From business cards to storefront signage, The Healing Center in San Diego would embody a brand identity that's both professional and laid back.

Challenge

An upscale medical cannabis retail store needs a unique identity in order to stand out amongst the crowd, and to be applied throughout various consumer touchpoints from advertising to signage. Make it look modern, professional, and scientific.
