Solution
Visit Blick's art store, drop some cash, and get to work. Using pencil, ink, and watercolor, I focused on typography and visual symbolism. When I was growing up I enjoyed drawing graffiti-style lettering and word forms in my sketchbook, but having a trained design eye certainly helps elevate the execution. Just looking for some good clean design fun and getting back to the basics.
Challenge
Having just moved to Portland, fill up some spare time by getting back to my roots while looking for a new creative career opportunity in town.
